Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

This policy explains how Docvel currently handles information when you visit the website and use its browser-based PDF tools.

1. Files are processed in your browser

When you choose a supported PDF or image, the Docvel web application reads the file in your browser and performs the selected operation on your device. The current tools do not require you to upload the file to a Docvel application server. Generated results are offered as local browser downloads.

Because processing is local, Docvel does not receive or retain the PDF contents through the tool interface. Temporary browser memory and object URLs may be used while a tool is open and are released by the page when they are no longer needed.

2. Information you send to us

If you contact Docvel by email, we receive the email address, message, and any information you choose to include. We use that information to respond to your request, investigate an issue, improve the service, or address a privacy or legal question. Please do not send passwords or confidential documents unless they are necessary and you have permission to share them.

3. Advertising, cookies and analytics

Docvel currently loads the Google AdSense script and publishes an ads.txt authorization file. If Google serves an advertisement, Google and its partners may use cookies, device information, or similar identifiers to measure, personalize, limit, or report advertising. The availability and behavior of advertising are controlled partly by Google and the AdSense settings for this site.

At the time of this update, Docvel does not intentionally use a separate third-party analytics service. A hosting or content-delivery provider may process basic technical request information, such as an IP address, user agent, or timestamp, to deliver and secure the website under its own policies. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google Ads Settings.

4. Security and retention

Local processing reduces the need to transmit document contents, but no website or device is completely risk-free. Keep your browser, operating system, and backups up to date. We retain support correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

5. Children and third-party links

Docvel is a general-purpose productivity website and is not directed at children. The site may link to external resources; those sites have their own privacy practices, which Docvel does not control.

6. Questions and policy changes

If the site's processing, analytics, advertising, or contact practices change, this policy will be updated before or when the change takes effect. For questions about this policy, contact support@docvel.com.
